Most essential oils have healing properties, but some are more effective than others. It is commonly believed that blending essential oils is about synergy or working together. If you blend 3 or 4 essential oils that have the same or very similar therapeutic properties, you have created a synergistic blend that is more powerful than the individual oils used on their own. There is research to support this theory, however, depending on your intent, on what you want to create, not all oils which are blended, (and you should only blend 3-4 max), go together, therefore, possibly creating other problems when it comes to skincare.
